About us
Taralga Retirement Village was officially opened in May 1982 as a 15-bed hostel established using funds obtained through community fundraising and government grants.

Today Taralga encompasses a 22 bed aged care facility catering to High Care and Palliative Care, 14 Independent Living Units (ILU's), Jandowae Meals on Wheels Service and staff accommodation.

Taralga remains a community owned incorporation today led by a passionate Board and relies on grant funding and donations to supplement other sources of income.

Our vision at Taralga is for people to age in a safe, homely environment with dignity, choice, compassion and companionship.
We believe that resident, families and team members should all be partners in care. As a small facility with 22 residents, our team can build meaningful caring relationships with each of our residents and provide the best care possible aligning with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
